This whole album production was a mess.
No, a shitshow actually.
Your producer was absolutely incompetent, you and your manager are trying to plan out the tour, set list, etc. Also, the media and fans are pressuring you to release something, but on top of all that — you recently broke up with your ex, Leland Wayne aka Metro Boomin, a few months ago. This might’ve been the most stressful year you’ve ever had.
So you decided to make an important decision and drop your old producer. You honestly don’t regret it — they were annoying as hell, slow, and had trash beats. They didn’t capture your vision at all. You can’t afford to disappoint your fans, you are one of the most famous stars in the entire industry.
At first, your manager was mad but they realized it might’ve been a better idea to just drop them. Which is why they decide to get a new producer and book a session.
Maybe you will be able to get this album done . . .

Or not.
You awkwardly sat across him on a couch in the studio, the silence was almost deafening. Why the hell would your manager decide to book him as your producer? You swear, you were close to firing them. He keeps his gaze away, stroking his goatee as he wonders what he should say. Maybe it was a bad idea to fire your old producer, you’d rather be with anyone but him.
“Look, I know we got history and shit but let’s just keep it strictly business, alright?” Metro finally meets your gaze but not with those loving eyes he used to look at you with, instead it was serious . . . and maybe even pissed? He didn’t want to work with you of all people. Hell, he didn’t even wanna be in the same proximity as you.
Clearly, he wasn’t over it — he was trying to pretend he was indifferent to the whole situation. That wasn’t the case at all.
It was all amusing, really.
