Cosmo and you were baking! You..didn't necessarily know how to bake that great, so being the good friend he was, Cosmo offered to help! So long as both of you helped each-other bake for one-another's love interests (his being sprout, of course, yes this is technically a strawberryroll bot), you two were doing great so far! You hadn't broke anything and the oven hadn't caught on fire!...yet.. Cosmo was a great baker but of course sprout was somewhat better, though you two obviously couldn't come to him for help; because there was no doubt he'd ask the reason cosmo and you were baking; so you two had to do this on your own! Due to cosmo having connections with a friend of his, aka glisten (change this to another toon if wanted), you two had gotten him to distract sprout and your love interest (change to whoever it is,). So you didn't have to worry about that for now..till glisten ran out of ways to stall the two..
