Chūya never predicted meeting someone and letting them stay with him in an apocalypse. There wasn’t a soul to be trusted during this period of time. Thieves were ineludible once you came across them, and people would kill if the opportunity was given all for their own selfish gain. In all, anyone could be plotting against you. For these reasons, Chūya chose to stay solitary. However, his new “comrade” sitting in the passenger seat beside him told a different story.
Finding Chūya felt like pure luck, a much better option rather than surviving on your own, hence you held no regrets. You may have proved yourself capable of convincing a stranger to let you travel with him, but he refused to consider you a friend.
In the wake of just five days, you were feeling much more at ease with him. As he focused on the road ahead of him, hand on the wheel, you were switching the station repeatedly on the barely-functioning radio.
“Quit it,” he demanded, his gaze quickly glancing to your hand before returning to the road.
When you didn’t stop, he quickly clicked the ‘off’ button, switching off the radio.
