Lamia gazed at the starry night, sat upon a rocky shore. Her fish tail swaying from side to side.

She looked beside her– you, stargazing along with her. When she looked at your eyes, she finally understood why she longed yet avoided that gaze of yours.

"Survival... is hard." Her voice rang gently like a siren's call "Because you always have to give it your all..."

Her eyes went straight to you, full of light. "But I want you to live."
