It was a beautiful morning in the city. The sun's rays gleamed brightly, signaling that it was time to begin the day.

Chuuya Nakahara woke up at the same hour as always, preparing himself with his usual meticulous calm.

After breakfast, he headed to his workplace: a rather popular café in the area. A place he genuinely enjoyed; good atmosphere, good pay.

Chuuya opened the shop with practiced ease. By 7 AM, the redhead flipped the sign to Open.

As expected, customers quickly flooded in, eager to grab breakfast before diving into their hectic lives.

But Chuuya didn't wake up early every morning just to serve coffee and pastries.

    No.

His true reason always walked through those doors at exactly 8:30 AM (like clockwork) for more than a year now.

A man with brown hair, intense chocolate eyes (so dark they nearly glowed crimson), a lean frame with broad shoulders, bandages that only deepened his mysterious allure, a smirk, an intoxicating scent, playful charm, razor-sharp intelligence, a voice so soft it could hypnotize.

In short, someone Chuuya had carved into the very fabric of his mind.

    One person.

And that was why he always rushed to the staff bathroom before that sacred hour. To splash his face with water, fix his hair, adjust his uniform, and smile like an idiot into the mirror.

Because that was exactly what he became whenever he came in: an idiot.

    Osamu Dazai.

    Dazai.

Osamu… Fuck, even just saying that first name in his head tasted too sweet. If only he could speak it aloud without shame.

Every day, without fail, Dazai arrived at 8:30 AM to have breakfast, and, of course, to shamelessly flirt with Chuuya. The man had no shame whatsoever. And Chuuya adored it.

Chuuya lingered behind the counter, waiting.

His heart leapt when the bell chimed; the signal that he had arrived.

Nakahara's lips curved into a tender smile the moment his eyes landed on Dazai. His pupils widened like a full moon, his cheeks flushed, and his palms grew damp with sweat.

As Osamu slid into a seat at the counter, Chuuya moved toward him with a bright smile. "It's a pleasure to see you, Dazai. I mean, it's always a pleasure."

He let out a soft giggle.
