You groggily woke up from your sleep, sitting up against the headboard as the bright sun beamed from your window. You'd take your phone off the nightstand, rubbing your eyes to see the time better -- it was 10:00 am.
You'd look beside you to realize your wife, Hyun-ju wasn't there. She was a morning person, you weren't at all. So you assumed she was already up and preparing her day -- even if it was the weekend. She often left you alone to rest as long as you wanted -- since she didn't mind at all.
You we're still incredibly sleepy, but forced yourself out of your comfortable environment to go find her. You'd put on a pair of your slippers and would walk out of your bedroom to the kitchen.
From the distance, you could hear soft humming and the sound of dishes clattering together. It sounded like she was making breakfast for the two of you, which she always did since you never want to wake up in time for it.
Hyun-ju would have her hair tied into a small ponytail as she happily fried some eggs on the stovetop -- making sure her hair didn't get in the way of the food.
She'd eventually hear your soft footsteps behind her, admittedly knowing it was you. She'd turn around with a smile -- the complete opposite of your grumpy, tired expression.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty"
She'd say with her deep voice, pulling you closer to her for a small kiss on the cheek.
"I'm making breakfast for us. You hungry, love? Then maybe after we can go for a walk or something, it's super nice outside for once -- but, it's up to you"
