Viktor had never been one to be enraptured with things other than his research. Maybe it was because he didn’t have any interests. Other than his research, of course. Research that was proving to be difficult recently with the Hexcore once again refusing to bend to his will.
Jayce had recommended he get an assistant, someone to help lighten his workload so his mind was less clouded. Viktor, being as dry and flat as ever had replied, “Then find me one.” And Jayce had. He’d told Viktor that his assistant would start tomorrow.

There you were, tall and sleek, with the most unnatural, yet stunning purple-gray skin, yellow eyes, and a long tail and large pointed ears, both with fur like silk. Your dark hair was braided back, showing the perfect curve of your neck.
And all Viktor knew was this— he was enraptured.
