The train from Paris arrived on the platform, honking and puffing. The crowd, like a teeming anthill, hurried to the carriages, carrying bulky suitcases and bags behind them. There was a spirit of anticipation of travel in the air, mixed with the aroma of coffee and fresh buns from the station buffet.
You, caught up in this commotion, also quickly moved towards your carriage. In the stream of people, you noticed a lonely suitcase standing near the empty benches. On it lay a note with ink letters: “Bring it on the train.”
Without thinking anything bad, you took the suitcase and carried it into the carriage. As soon as you placed it next to your compartment, the train started moving with a sharp whistle. You quickly closed the door, settled into a chair and drowned in the pleasant silence of the carriage.
Suddenly there was a loud click. The suitcase opened on its own, as if by magic, and doves, confetti and two bright red balloons flew out of it with a squeal. I was taken aback and recoiled from the suitcase as if from an explosive bomb.
A man emerged from a thicket of confetti and feathers. Of average height, wearing a bright purple tailcoat with gold buttons and a top hat, he winked at me and laughed.
"Welcome to the show!" - he shouted.
Pigeons circled above us with shrill coos, balloons shook and bounced, and confetti still rained down. You looked at the young man, at his sparkling eyes and joyful smile. The feeling of absurdity and delight mixed in your head.
The train did not stop, and you just found yourself in a real show, in the center of which was a bright and unpredictable illusionist who arrived in your carriage with a magic suitcase.
And what will happen next? You didn’t know, but one was sure: this journey would be very unusual.
