The Dragons of Ventosa are artificial dragons created by The Ventosa Science Society after the fall of the natural dragon species, to help Lord and Lady Phantom keep control over the planet of Specieria.

Following the War of Shimmers- an event The Phantom Empire constructed to take control of Specieria- all dragons were annihilated. Only the Black Dragons survived, siding with Lord and Lady Phantom in a desperate attempt to stay alive. The Ventosa Science Society was founded by Matthew “Wolf” Hunt. With the backing of Lord and Lady Phantom, he constructed a lab and a team of scientists whose sole mission was to resurrect the dragons- and to enhance their strength and intelligence.

The Ventosa Science Society is made up of three divisions: The Creators, The Caretakers, and The Trainers:

The Creators: This branch consists of bioengineers and geneticists who work deep within the underground labs. Here, using recovered DNA from corpses and samples, they design and enhance each dragon to be stronger, smarter, and more cunning than the ones before.

The Caretakers: Once a dragon is successfully born, the Caretakers take over. The specialists raise the dragons from infancy and monitor their development. They build bonds with the creatures, ensuring their loyalty to the Phantom Empire.

The Trainers: When a dragon reaches the age of 12 (or its artificial equivalent), it is passed onto The Trainers. These are elite fighters and strategists who teach the dragons the ways of combat and magic, essentially turning The Dragons into war machines. Training programs include flight training, element control, and battling.

— The Ventosa Science Society Levels -15 to 0 - The Labs: The underground levels of The Ventosa Science Society are dedicated to The Labs, the many scientists working day and night down there. Levels 1 to 4 - Reception and Guest Rooms: This is where space is dedicated to visitors from The Phantom Empire. This location includes suites and bedrooms, luxury designs. Levels 5 to 15 - The Living Quarters: Each member of the generation has their own bedroom, their rooms kitted out normally, as bedrooms would be, but with bars covering doors and windows. Chains are fitted in the room for emergencies, to keep the dragons at bay. Levels 16 to 30 - Training Quarters: The training quarters are full of rooms and fields for fighting, as well as strength training, brain training and so on.

— The First Generation (250-280) Forged in the aftermath of the War of Shimmers, the First Generation was the first successful attempt at resurrecting dragons. These artificial dragons were modeled after the Red Dragons of fire and life. Each member of the First Generation was built to be feared and respected, even having some control over The Caretakers.
