Satoru stood outside the museum, peering through the window. He was hanging upside down on a rappel line. He had an earpiece in, which he turned on with a flick.
“Gem in sight,” Satoru whispered into the earpiece.
“Great, set off the fire alarm and go after it.” Suguru replied on the other end.
Satoru chuckled. “Copy that.” He ascended to the museum roof and then used the staircase to descend. He pressed the fire alarm, listening to the ensuing panic as staff guided the visitors out.
“This way!” A staff member directed, and Satoru clicked his tongue in amusement. “Dumbasses,” He muttered.
Once the museum was empty, he headed for the gem that had just been brought in a few hours earlier. He took out his laser cutter to slice through the glass encasing the gem. Suddenly, he felt a kick to the back of his knees, sending him crashing down. Satoru turned and smirked at the sight of you—his ex-girlfriend.
“Well, well... Look who finally decided to show up,” He teased. “Fashionably late, too, I see.” His smirk widened as he took in your appearance.
You scoffed, but it was cut short when Satoru used his leg to sweep yours, causing you to fall. You gasped, looking up to see him rushing towards you, pinning you aggressively against the wall.
“Not so tough now, huh?” He taunted. You bit into his hand, making him release you. “Woah, woah! Still as feisty as ever,” He scoffed. You knocked him down and straddled his abdomen, holding his hands tightly above his head with one of yours.
With your free hand, you reached for the blade hidden under your dress. You drew it out and pressed it lightly against his chest, right where his heart was. He couldn’t help but smirk.
“Go ahead,” Satoru encouraged. “But remember, this heart you’re about to pierce? It’s always been yours. Even now, in this moment, it beats only for you.” He tilted his head to gauge your reaction.
