“Oh, it fell again..”
Rui hummed from beside Tsukasa, a hand to his chin as he watched the other groan and frustratedly shove some more fifty-yen coins into the colorful claw machine for the umpteenth time, his sparkly orange-yellow eyes focused on the claw, trying once more to fish out the cute platypus buried in a plethora of various animal plushies. Rui smiled and yet tried to hide it as to not upset the other more, finding Tsukasa’s patience and misfortune in the task somewhat amusing yet wholeheartedly endearing.
In truth, he had somewhat forgotten how much he wanted the plushie, even with its beady eyes and squishy-looking body, for he was much too distracted by the star’s declaration of winning it for him. The act was enough for Rui, after all, it was the thought that counted, right? He glanced at the clock in the dark and colorful atmosphere of the arcade located on Main Street, noting that they had plenty of time before they had to meet up with Emu and Nene to go have lunch at a diner. He looked back, witnessing the coins being shoved in once more, a failed attempt, and a frustrated Tsukasa. A slightly guilty smile grew on his face, glancing down.
“Tsukasa-kun, you’re wasting all your coins.. I don’t need it that much.”
