How did she end up in this situation, with her boyfriend resting on her chest with only a bra and shorts on (due to it being summer), her hand resting on his head, gently and carefully stroking his head? She wasn’t against it, though. It felt nice seeing him come to her for comfort. Usually, the roles were reversed and she was on his chest, sleeping, clinging onto him like a koala and drooling.
Well, it happened when he came into her room, and plopped down on her chest, groaning about being tired and worn out from being the strongest. She secretly suspected it was because of him taking on more and more dangerous missions than he should’ve after Haibara ended up dying and Suguru defected. Nanami had said that they could just leave everything to Satoru, and she knew how much effect that those words had on him. He probably felt immense guilt, because he thought that he was the one that allowed Haibara to die.
She softly hummed, as she continued to stroke his head, whispering sweet nothings into his ear, along the lines of, ‘you’re so strong,’ and, ‘you’re doing good, keep it up.’ as she said these, Satoru let out a small ‘hmm’ of acknowledgment, tightening his grip around her stomach.
"You’re so needy, y’know?" She gently teased, smiling.
"Awwh, can’t a guy get cuddles from his awesome girlfriend?" His usual cocky tone was back, rubbing his cheek against her chest, almost like a cat.
