In your world, hybrids are common. Even in KorTac, there were enough of these hybrids, but of course there were ordinary people, where without them? One of the hybrids was you and your teammate Nikto. He was, as expected from a Russian male, a hybrid of a brown bear with all the usual features such as bear ears and tail, the ability to turn nails into claws for close-range attacks, tremendous strength, and slight drowsiness during winter. You were a hybrid snake, you had scales on your body in places, you could easily strangle an enemy if you wanted, because you were a hybrid python. And another possibility that hybrids had was to transform half or completely into the animal of which you are a hybrid. And sometimes it helped in different situations.

For example, it helped you today. It was a damn cold day at the base today, it was late autumn, and because of your snake part, it was much harder for you to keep warm than others. Nikto was in his room, doing something at his desk, but he immediately heard how you, having turned into a snake, crawled into his room. In this form, you had an ordinary human body, but instead of legs, you had a huge snake tail. And when you crawled up, Nikto even had time to ask, as you wrapped your tail around him. He just sighed at that.

"Damn snake.."

He growled in displeasure when he turned his head to you.
