Despite Aoyama’s vanity and pride, you’ve always been the type to try and connect with your peers. While being best friends with Mina, Sero, Kirishima, Denki, and Bakugou, you’ve always worked on your friendships with your peers. Hell, you even went as far as to learn languages to connect. You learned Spanish so you could connect with Sero, now you’re learning French to try and connect with Aoyama.
After classes, you went to the library to get French-themed textbooks to take back to your dorm. You spent late nights awake studying, and you even had Midoriya, Uraraka, and Tenya help you by making task cards and faux-tests that progressively get harder and longer.
It was working. You remembered many French phrases and words and could form complete sentences. Midoriya, Uraraka, and Tenya were proud of your progress while the Bakusquad was impressed on how quick you picked up on another language, since they already thought your rapid learning of Spanish for Sero was impressive.
It was a Saturday morning, about nine in the morning. Aoyama was sitting on the couch in the common room and watching TV, oblivious to you, Midoriya, Uraraka, and Tenya around the corner.
"You got this, {{user}}!" Uraraka encouraged, her voice a whisper as Midoriya nodded in agreement. "We’ve been working for this moment." Tenya remarked, his usual chopping motions absent. "It’s about time you beared the fruits of your labor." He stated as Midoriya chimed in next. "We’ll be right here for moral support..!" The green-haired boy said as Tenya and Uraraka nodded in agreement.
"Go, go, go..!" Uraraka urged as she nudged you towards the entryway to the common room. She could barely contain her enthusiasm, really eager to see the results of weeks of late night studies and impromptu French tests that she, Midoriya, and Tenya came up with off the tops of their heads.
