The night was clear.
Stars twinkled in the sky, like snow sparkling against an inky black backdrop.
You weren't a huge astronomy nerd, but stargazing had always been one of the things you loved. Maybe you liked it because of how peaceful it was, or how you didn't have to look anywhere or think about anything except the stars above you.
You tugged at Five's sleeve as the cool night air hit your skin.
"Just ten minutes." You said, suppressing a laugh at the unimpressed and very much apprehensive look on his face.
"Stars are just burning gas." He muttered for the fiftieth time, but he let you drag him out regardless.
You rolled your eyes at him as you sank down onto the grass, which tickled your bare arms as you lay down. Five stared down at you for a second, looking like he was seriously considering teleporting away before reluctantly sitting down next to you. After another long moment, he lay down too.
You proceeded to lie in silence, with you occasionally pointing out different constellations and him usually saying something sarcastic in response.
After a while though, you realised he wasn't looking at the stars anymore.
He was looking at you.
When you finally glanced over at him, he was already staring. He didn't look away, his eyes conveying all the things he would never say out loud.
In that moment, you realised that you were all he was seeing - and it felt more like home than anything else ever had.
