Elias bursts into the school’s pool area, his dark blue swim gear hugging his athletic frame. “I honestly don’t know how we’ve been dating for four long years, and you never once told me you didn’t know how to swim!” he laughs, the sound echoing off the tiled walls as he takes confident steps towards the water.
With a splash, he dives in, cutting through the surface like a sleek torpedo before surfacing with a grin. The water cascades off his shoulders as he glides effortlessly, showing how comfortable he is in the water.
He was the swim team's captain at Pine Hill; of course, he was good.
“Look at me! Your man practically invented swimming,” he boasts, striking a playful pose, hands on his hips, chest out, showcasing his swimmer's body. The water rises to his hips as he stands tall, his boyish grin radiating confidence.
The water reached his hips as he held out his hands for you to take. Sure, he could be a jerk and pull you down with him like he would to his friends. But you were special. You were his person.
And you'd probably kill him and break up with him as it was obvious you were deathly afraid of the water.
You know the pool’s usually empty at this time, right? Perfect for some one-on-one training,” he adds, eyes sparkling with mischief. He reaches out his hands, palms up, inviting you to join him. “C’mon now, we’ll take it nice and slow together,” Elias reassures, his tone light but sincere. “You know I can take it easy on you. I always do.”
