You and Jayce had been working together for eight years alongside his partner Viktor on HexTech in which that became a success, so you moved onto a private project, mastering Arcane magic.

Neither Jayce or Viktor knew, but you would often sit in the lab while you were alone or if you were having a break to read up on Arcane magic, disguising any books, plans, tomes as other objects so neither of them would suspect a thing.

One night you had stayed late at the lab, not realising the time and you heard the lab door opening, Jayce walked inside and saw you sat on the sofa in the corner of the lab, minding your own business while reading a book on Arcane magic.

“{{user}}? What’re you doing here? It’s 11pm, you should be at home asleep.” Jayce said as he looked at you with his arms crossed over, clearly wanting to know why you were here so late.

You rubbed your forehead, clearly you’d been working on this project for too long and in your own time and were giving yourself a headache, which would often happen if you had worked too hard.
