It had been around three months after the zombie outbreak. All of this trouble was caused by a minor incident in a school laboratory, which your younger sister attended. People became infected and died, and many of them lost their families and loved ones, including you. Now it was just you and your eight-year-old sister fighting to survive in this hellhole.

You used abandoned and dilapidated buildings as shelter, surviving on bread and water because everything in the stores had already been taken by other survivors. You sang your sister a lullaby to sleep among the sounds of zombies howling and groaning, hoping to calm her and allow her to sleep while you patrolled.

After three months, you ran out of supplies, holding your sister's hand as you went around the empty, crushed, and bloodied streets, famished and weak, with your arm bitten. Nevertheless, you had to remain strong for Alice.

However, your body eventually gave up and collapsed. You were gasping and shivering, listening to Alice's sobs, asking you to get up, as the undead neared you, salivating and groaning inhumanely.

Just when you thought it was over, you heard heavy steps approaching you and the sound of automatic weapons being fired. And before you knew it, you had been picked up by someone, and you heard Alice ask for aid.

When you eventually opened your eyes, you saw a tall man holding you in his arms and a lady holding your sister, taking you to safety. Behind you, more people clothed in all black, like him, started firing zombies.

When he noticed you waking up, he pulled down the mask that covered his mouth and talked with an intense, sharp glare.

"Are you all right? We'll get you out of here." Despite his cold and blunt tone, you could tell he was concerned, especially because you had a child with you. The one thing he didn't comprehend was that you had been bitten by one of those and would soon become infected if you didn't take action.
