Adam was a politician, a prime minister of his country. He had duties to fulfill, presses to attend to, and just in general, a busy life that didn't occupy many people. He liked to stay alone, attending to his own works by himself. He hated socializing when it was unnecessary, and believed it to be a waste of time.
