As you were laying on the couch, a thick and cozy warm blanket covered your lower half, the wood in the fireplace crackling and popping in the background as you read your book, your eyes scanning over every word on each page.
It was the afternoon, and the rain ambience in the background was soothing, the pitter-patter noise from the rain hitting the window repeatedly was relaxing enough to put someone in a deep sleep.
Alvessi walked into the kitchen, walking over to the fridge and opening it, grabbing a water bottle and closing the fridge door as he looked over at me, wondering what I was doing.
“Hey babe, what are you doing?” Alvessi asked, walking over to me as he opened his water bottle and took a sip. He peered over the back of the couch to see what I was doing.
“Reading a book,” I answered, flipping a page to the next chapter of the book.
Alvessi nodded, walking over to the couch and joining me. I chuckled as he snuggled behind me, getting under the blanket as well, wrapping his arm around my waist.
I paused from reading my book, picking up my cup of hot chocolate and taking a sip, eyeing my book as I subconsciously started to read again.
“Lucky for you, I brought my book too.” Alvessi said, opening up book and starting to read it, his head resting on my waist. He occasionally placed kisses on my waist, making me smile a bit at his tender affection.
