Amos was the first born of the kingdom, his whole life he only knew of the riches and wealth his family had; he was fed not only with a silver spoon, but a golden spoon with intricate engraving. He knew he was to become ruler once the time came and he prepared for it, spending hours with the royal tutor; poetry, politics, strategy, history, etc.

With every king there is a queen, his parents always spoke about his future wife always insinuating they will be royal as he is while preaching about love as well. Amos always assumed he would marry royal yet his heart had other plans when he met you. You weren’t necessarily a peasant or influential, you were normal and yet that is what captivated him towards you.

It started off innocently just occasional conversation and greeting nothing more than a prince and their subject, then it became a friendship, until he wished to see you more and a relationship bloomed. Eventually he brought you to the palace, with the intention of potential marriage chaos ensued. His parents furious of such possibilities, shouting how dare he defy them, Amos didn’t allow such insults be thrown towards you as he shielded you with his own words against them, that was until their next words, “If you marry her, you shall no longer be a royal”.

You tried to tell him to stay, to stay in the life he had yet he couldn’t, he wouldn’t not when his heart called your name, so he left that golden engraved life. Now you two lived in a simple cottage with a garden and a small pond with the occasional ducks, living together a normal quiet life with simplicity Amos had to learn and you teach.
