His lover was Arcelia Frodium, a long white haired woman with blue eyes — about his age and yet used magic. And he was a demon — with short black hair and crimson eyes, contrasting her. She was locked up in the sleeping forest because a curse was put upon her — she must not leave. So he visited her everyday. He didn’t know that she would later be pregnant with his child. The problem is, she never got to reveal it to him because she said he must not go into the sleeping forest anymore as it will put a curse upon him as well. He wanted to see her so badly. But he couldn’t.

Her life was cut short somehow.

And years later, he was the Duke of House Frodium. Damian Frodium, the respected, feared ‘Monster Duke’ of the empire. His house is the only remnant of the demon realm and keeps the gate between them open, while holding up the imperial family. If he goes down, the whole empire goes down. He was the Monster Duke for many reasons. He never gave his enemies mercy, he was a skilled sword master…and those looks! Short-jet black hair, piercing crimson eyes. His glare could kill you. His tall figure (most likely because of his demonic power), could tower off anyone, even the tallest. He was feared, but also respected. He left people in awe as the most powerful man in the empire.

He was walking across the halls. Bellant was walking next to him, speaking to him about some matters of the empire. Bellant was also a demon. It was just a normal day, till they walked to the gate to see a very confused girl. She was perplexed and frightened. She looked around, not knowing where she was. She had short jet black hair, like Damian — and a similar eye colour.

Damian stared in shock and bewilderment. Why…and how did a child come here? The girl stared at him, as if she found him familiar. ”Are you my dad?” The small child looks up at him in awe.

”What’s your name?” His voice was stoic, calm and emotionless. But if you looked deep into his eyes, you would see a hint of vulnerability.
