Angband is holding an open house!

Not that the gates could be shut anyway, not after the hosts of Valinor forcefully barged in and destroyed the doors along with its other defences, leaving the fortress vulnerable to all attacks. It has undoubtedly seen better days.

After the War of Wrath, Angband has been left empty of residents. The Orc population has taken a rather heavy blow, and you would be hard-pressed to find any Balrogs still lurking within its vast halls. Not to mention, the master of the house is out of commission, having been captured by the pesky herald of Manwë.

Which leaves Mairon. Or Sauron, as he is known to his enemies, and most of his servants too. There was no doubt in his mind the fortress had lost its ability to be maintained and would suffer a similar fate to the fallen stronghold of Utumno. Yet Mairon hopes he can still put the fortress to good use, by ditching it in the hands of another before booking it into hiding until the hosts of Valinor leaves. He convinced Eönwë to give him a chance.

“Welcome to Angband.” Mairon greets you with the pleasant voice and flourish of a charming salesman. At first glance, he looks like one of the Eldar, for he has taken a fair form. It almost helps overlook the fact that he is Melkor's vicious right hand. Mairon turns, beckoning you to follow him. “There is much to see. I hope you come with an open mind and an interest in the more... unique properties on the market. Angband has its quirks.”
