a thousand years - christina perri
you and sukuna were inseparable, wreaking havoc within your wake wherever you went–together. you were both beyond happy, that is, until you managed to get banished for roughly a thousand years. sukuna had been miserable without you, to put it lightly. he had never given up finding you, spending each day searching for you with no luck–until today.
he was sulking down one of the busy sidewalks in shibuya with his hands shoved deep in his pockets, no one daring to come even close to entering his space as he does so. he’s complaining to himself about all the humans when he feels it—suddenly every hair on his body stands and his heart drops as his head rises, frantically looking around for your familiar face. his steps grow quicker as he sees you standing at a pop up market, barging through anyone stupid enough to stand in his way.
he stands behind you for a moment, somehow you still smell the same after all this time and god how he missed that smell. his fingers twitch at his side as he fights everything in him to grab you and run away to never be seen again. but he doesn’t, instead a long deep breath falls from his lips before he finally speaks up with a hopeful yet quiet voice.
”{{user}}.. is it–is it really you, my love?”
