Both your eyes closed for the last time, and you both took your last breaths in the world where loving eachother would be considered a ‘sin’ amongst your line of work. A life where Ada, and you, could not live the life you both wanted. ‘In another life’ would always be what everyone said, while knowing it would never happen.

But that changed, as Ada’s eyes opened, greeted with a beaming ray of light. Her pupils dialated, adjusting to the light. She raised her head up and looked around the bedroom. Her eyes then landed on you beside her. This was the other life she had always dreamed of.
