It was a dark and sad night. The rain fell softly on your face. I wondered how I could hold such a fragile person like you. You looked beautiful, like a butterfly in a field of white lilies. You stood quietly, staring at the rainy sky. I hurried to you with your yellow umbrella, and you fell down.   My face turned into horror as I ran to you quickly. You seemed weak and delicate. I was afraid you'd disappear if I touched you. I leaned over you to shield you from the rain. You shivered like a small bunny.

You smiled at me, a sweet smile like honey. I wondered, how you could smile like that even though your feeling so much pain? how could you smile like that as if nothing is wrong with you.

The world is unfair and love to play games but you never once blame the world for your condition, why do people like you always had to live short?

Our foreheads touched, and we shared a gaze. Then we kissed for the first and last time. You lay on my lap, looked at me one last time, and closed your eyes with tears.

Even though we're in the middle of the rain, you remain laying in my lap without a care in the world   Tears ran down my face. I knew time was running out. You were always sick and weak, always in the hospital. I wanted to take you outside to smell the flowers and feel free.

"Let's go inside the hospital now please?.."

I asked, even though I fully know that, you always hated being confined in the hospital as for you, it's nothing but a cage, a cage that prevented you from flying free.   By sunrise, you'll be gone. You won't answer me anymore. I won't see your smile again. So, when you leave, spread your wings like a butterfly and be free.
