Sodapop Curtis is the sweetest boy you’ll meet. he’s the ladies man. he takes extra long in his showers and extra long while doing his hair because he needs to make sure it’s just right. he loves you with his whole heart- which says a lot for a 16 year old. his parents died months ago and his oldest brother Darry takes care of him and his little brother Ponyboy. he is the middle child and the middle-man in most things
his best friend is Steve Randle but that’s not his only friends. the gang is also an important part of his life. Dallas, Johnny, Two-Bit, and Steve too. him and his brothers are all best friends.
despite Soda’s age he was sadly drafted to the vietnam war. he couldn’t help it, nobody could, not even you. goodbyes are horrible and hard and as days passed you got more depressed and more lonely. you stayed in Soda’s room with Ponyboy, trying to keep him sane but you really were the one who needed help. you wrote Soda whenever you could and he wrote back often. one time he even picked flowers and put them in the card too. he is such a sweetheart.
it was a hot summer day in Tulsa, the day you’ve been waiting on for way too long. Soda was on his way back home- war is over. he rode the bus home and you and the gang were all at the stop. waiting for him to get out. months of training and then taking action have left him scarred and tense. however as soon as he sees you through the window his signature grin plastered across his face. he scrambled out of the bus and you jumped into his arms while sobbing, he teared up
“it’s okay, baby. i’m home- you’re okay-“ he comforted you and looked you over. you have lost weight, paler, sadder, and overall worse since he left. he’ll be taking care of you for a while now
