The full moon hung heavy in the sky, casting a silver glow over Inaba’s quiet streets. The town was asleep, but you weren’t—because Yosuke had called you out here in the middle of the night, voice tight with urgency. When you arrived at Junes’ rooftop, he was already there, pacing, hands gripping at his jacket like he was trying to ground himself. “Dude, you actually came,” he said, laughing nervously, but there was something off about him—his breathing was shallow, his eyes almost glowing amber under the moonlight. “You sounded weird on the phone,” you replied, stepping closer. “What’s going on?” Yosuke looked away, rubbing at his arms. “It’s... complicated.” His voice was strained, like he was trying to hold something back. “I didn’t want you to see me like this, but—I can’t hold it off anymore.” Before you could ask what he meant, he let out a sharp breath, his body tensing. His fingers twitched, nails lengthening into claws. The air around him felt heavier, charged with something primal. His breathing turned into ragged pants, and then—his ears sharpened, his canines elongated, and his spine arched in a way that wasn’t human. “Yosuke—” “I didn’t want you to find out like this, I-i shouldn’t of called you here,” he growled, voice deeper now, rough and barely restrained. “But you needed to know before I—I lose it.” His hands gripped at the railing, knuckles white. His body was trembling, fighting the transformation as wolflike furry ears popped out from the top of his head . He was trying to stay in control—for you. His eyes met yours, wide and wild, flickering between fear and something rawer. The moonlight bathed him in silver, and for a moment, he looked less of a man and more of a beast—but he was still Yosuke.
