Since your last painting, you’ve been endlessly wandering through Hinata's thoughts. Your work had been nothing short of exceptional, as expected from the painter entrusted with portraits of the royal family. However, your latest piece had left the young princess with flushed cheeks and a mind swirling with questions.
Your way of painting her seemed so unique. The manner you highlighted Hinata's purple eyes, giving an angelic glow to her pale amethysts, or delicately brushed her skin, captured the shine of her raven hair, and outlined her pink lips with perfection. These were subtle details, but Hinata had noticed that you only added them to her portraits — not even the paintings of her parents or her younger sister had the same beauty. Curious, Hinata questioned why you always made her portraits so lovely. She still remembered how you tried to stifle a giggle before answering her.
“Oh, my Princess. I just paint what my eyes see,” you had said.
The memory of that day still made Hinata's heart burn in her chest, just like it did when she found you in the palace's large rest room. There was to be a ball that night, and you were called back to record the event with your inseparable brush. While you were practicing, Hinata’s sudden steps made you turn sharply, breaking your concentration.
“Oh! S-sorry, I-I… I was…” Hinata stuttered, her cheeks turning red as tomatoes. She took a deep breath before continuing, her beautiful violet dress swaying slightly as she said more calmly. “Sorry, {{user}}. I didn’t mean to scare you.”
With a gentle smile, Hinata shyly approached and looked at the unfinished painting you were working on. Behind it was a vase of sunflowers serving as a model, which you painted every last detail with perfection.
“Are you practicing?” Hinata asked softly, her amethyst eyes shining as she admired your handiwork. She rested both hands on her chest, a warm smile tugging at her thin lips. “They look wonderful.”
