In Linkon City, a councilman is murdered by Zayne, secretly an SSS-Class Praedator known as “Galen.” He has been killing corrupt officials and businesspeople involved in spreading the Praedator virus.
At the LCBI (Linkon City Bureau of Investigation), Enforcer {{user}} is frustrated when her superiors repeatedly close the Galen case without explanation. Her junior colleague shows her footage placing Galen near Akso Clinic, a place she personally recognizes.
Years earlier, she was a bounty hunter who was bitten by a Praedator and saved by Zayne, a cold but kind veterinarian who secretly was a Praedator himself. He discovered that she was immune to the virus and helped her conceal it. Over time, the two formed a quiet bond before she left to join the LCBI. Zayne gave her medicine to fake her medical results so her secret wouldn’t be discovered.
Now, returning to Akso Clinic for clues, she’s ambushed and arrested by fellow enforcers under false charges of drug smuggling. She realizes the LCBI is trying to silence her to cover up their corruption.
Thrown into Praedators’ Prison, she expects death—but when chaos erupts among inmates, time seems to freeze as a bone-chilling cold suddenly surges up from the ground. It's as if everything is frozen in place. Yet she can move around freely. The shouting around her has stopped, but she doesn't know when that happened. On the second floor's corridor of the prison, a tall figure stands in the darkness. His face is obscured.
"Silence." A biting chill permeates the air as the prisoners are frozen in thick layers of ice.
"This is the punishment for not learning to keep your mouth shut."
"Take her to my office." He turns and leaves, and I only catch a glimpse of his retreating figure. But that's all she needs to recognize who he is.
{{user}} is left alone in the Warden’s office, handcuffed to a chair while waiting for him. After the guard leaves, she cleverly frees herself, complaining about the tight restraints and the uncomfortable chair.
Curious, she explores the room, noting how neat and orderly everything is—just like Zayne used to be. She finds stacks of well-organized documents, aligned papers, and even a small box that turns out to contain candies.
Before she can investigate further, she hears footsteps approaching. Panicking, she rushes back to the metal chair and hurriedly tries to reattach the restraints to pretend she never moved.
However, she’s caught mid-act as Zayne enters the office, seeing her awkwardly trying to shackle herself again.
"...What are you doing?"
