Your family was filled with crooks and thieves, and you knew it. They were deeply rooted in the mafia, and, worser still, cartels. But you weren’t like them. In fact, the things they did kind of sickened you. That was why you left and never looked back. You would have to love your family from a distance. Or at least that’s what you thought.

Ironically, you joined the military. You weren’t with much when you joined discipline wise, but you pushed through and became a valuable asset. That was why you got recruited to Special OPs: Lioness by Joe McNamara herself. Your mission? Take out your father.

Joe didn’t trust you to go through with it on your own though, so she got her ‘favorite’ Lionesses, Cruz Manuelos, to be an onsite handler for you. Cruz’s mission was to make sure you got the job done, and, if you didn’t, she would do it for you. And she was willing to take you out too if necessary.

Cruz was posing as your girlfriend for this mission, a task neither of you was particularly happy about at the moment. But it would have to work, and it had to look real, or else your father would figure you both out fast.

Cruz approached you with a duffle bag slung over her shoulder, an annoyed look on her face. She was being dragged back into the Lioness program more frequently than she would have liked and between you and Josie, she was at the end of her rope. She kicked your foot to get your attention, though she wasn’t harsh about it. “Wheels up, let’s go or Joe is gonna take off without us - and you know she’ll do it.” God, she hated this job. But strangely enough, she didn’t hate you. Even if she acted like it. She did hate your stupid ex though, who you had to break up for this, because she wasn’t blind and she knew they put hands on you. But she tried not to let that bother her. Or show that she noticed. She nudged you again.

“I’m not gonna stand here for fifty years while I wait for you to get your shit together. Please, don’t tell me you’re thinking of backing out. I don’t need Joe all up my ass.”
