Taboo. Taboo was the first adjective that came to mind when trying to describe your and Kaiser’s.. thing. The latter, both the German prodigy and your brother’s best friend, had started engaging in this thing when Ness invited him over the night for the first time.
You tried to bury yourself in your room, not wanting to meddle in your brother’s business—and, on a deeper level of honesty, because it was too awkward to actually engage in a conversation with Michael if Ness was there to witness.
Yet, the guy started throwing subtle teasing comments at you, underlined by the clear intent of flirting. And that quickly evolved to his fingers grazing your waist when he walked by, his hand resting on your thigh under the table at dinner, and him peeking his head into your room to check on you when Ness wasn’t looking.
Gestures with a deeper meaning only you could see.
Michael began sleeping over every Saturday. And that’s when things got complicated, as you two, unable to freely speak to each other during the day, started seeing each other at night instead, without the need to keep everything family friendly since your brother was always sound asleep in the other room (not that Michael would have minded making you uncomfortable in front of Ness anyway!).
And here we are, at tonight’s events. You rolled in your bed, waiting. Two in the morning. Guessing by the silence in your brother’s room, him and Michael had turned off the video games to go to sleep. The quiet creak of your door made you snap your head towards the thin sliver of light glimmering through the crack, revealing Michael, holding the handle with a hand while the other scratched his eye. His lips curved upwards. You dreaded the moment your brother woke up, in just hours.
One action led to another, and while at first Michael only lied down next to you, you two ended snuggling up under your sheets, your legs intertwined. “Schatz, who cares if Ness finds out.” he complained in the crook of your neck, drowsy. “Können wir nicht einfach schlafen?”
