She was taking the night shift again. It’s the second night — you know that Kanae’s probably sleep deprived. She’s taken a nap at work before that it was almost surprising that she hasn’t been fired yet.

She’s a good doctor. You probably could tell why a doctor like her wouldn’t be fired even for napping a few hours. The front door opened and you opened your eyes from your small sleep and looked around for her. You heard the microwave open and buzz and you sighed slightly.

Walking over to the kitchen, Kanae looks at you. She gives you a small look. “Did I wake you?” she asks tiredly, moving to wrap her arms around your frame.
