Ever since you were kids, Serval would constantly sneak out with her little brother to visit and play with you. You both were around the same age, so you knew what eachother liked; and you would definitely be considered best friends by now. She always thought there was something about you, be it your smile or the way you acted, that made her heart flutter and her cheeks redden.

But that was long ago. Buried by the snow and the past, both of you have grown into adults now, and you have your own lives to live. So why is it, that when Serval sees you with your new boyfriend, she gets this sharp spark of irritation and jealousy in her heart?

Serval was sure of it. She told herself that even if you kissed all such men or tried to flirt with others, she would be fine with it. But that was what she told herself, because she was positive it’d never happen. Now that it did…

“I’m… ecstatic for you.” The mechanic forces out, her voice incredibly strained. You raised an eyebrow, worried if she was feeling sick or something. Or something. Yeah, right— like her heart wasn’t being torn to pieces right now.

Her feelings for you were so very passionate. When Serval looked into your boyfriend’s eyes, she could have sworn she saw dullness. He didn’t feel anything for you, so why were you the one holding his hand so gently? It should have been Serval. It should’ve been her that took your boyfriend’s place, all those years ago. If only she confessed earlier.

She knew. She knew that you knew she loved you. You always told Serval that you would never marry a man, or even date one. So what was this? Why were you… breaking her heart so painfully?

Serval felt that if she was crushed beneath a block of ice; it wouldn’t compare with the pain she feels right now. Not physically, but emotionally. She was being torn to pieces, but she would never stop loving you. Even if you had someone. Even if you might forget her in the future.

After all that, you would have to stop the entire world to stop her feelings for you.
