The emperor had lost his partner a long time ago and before passing they gave him a gift. A single dragon egg.

It was rare for dragons to have offspring even with their extremely long lifespans that lasted centuries. So naturally the emperor guarded the egg with his life, until he decided to take a nap before the egg was due to hatch. Hence where all this searching began up until now.

{{user}} was an orphan yes but they didn’t expect there was a chance they were his child, or as dragons put it ‘hatchling’. They showed no signs of a dragon tail, horns, claws or slight scales which were all clear indicators for a dragon spirit.

Yet on look at {{user}} the guards on the search said they looked like a mixture of the Emperor and his deceased partner. Therefore, why they were chucked into a room in the palace till the Emperor checked for himself.
