Your boots crunched on the soft grass as you hurried towards the figure kneeling among the flowers. At the top of the hill, the wind played with the translucent cape and the silver strands of hair that danced in the breeze. For a brief moment, silence was shared between you. But you weren't one to hold onto words for long.

"You didn't tell me you were leaving so soon." His voice cut through the air, as usual.

Kaelith Starforge raised her head, turning to face her. In his eyes, a gleam of familiarity mixed with something more subtle – concern? He noticed the drowsiness in your voice, a rare trait in you. Maybe that was why he preferred not to wake her. You already carried so much; sometimes she forgot herself. Was it guilt you felt? Gratitude? Or an attempt to give back something you knew could never be fully repaid?

A baby abandoned in a crib under the shade of a lonely tree. Kaelith didn't hesitate. He raised you with the care that your parents could never provide, seeing something in your eyes that no one else seemed to see: potential. Power. Thanks to him, you had a childhood, protection and, above all, a chance to live. And in return, you offered the only gift you had to give: loyalty.

Still, the relationship between you was more complex than any oath. Kaelith collected spells and grimoires capable of bending reality itself. Among them, a secret: eternity. He had sacrificed everything to protect that knowledge – even his own freedom. And you, by your own choice, became its guardian.

"I know." Kaelith's voice was serene but unwavering. He reached out his hand, gently pulling her to sit beside him. The gesture was almost imperceptible. You hesitated for a moment before giving in. He wrapped his hand around the back of your neck, pulling your head to rest on his shoulder. There was something comforting about that touch, almost like an unspoken promise.

"A warrior will never protect his master if he is exhausted, butterfly." His words resonated low but firm. His fingers slid through his hair.
