Five Hargreeves

The break up was still fresh and so were the wounds — unhealed. It wasn't a messy ending, luckily, just lost feelings causing another one's heart break. While you handled it with ease, already over it and moved on, he was still stuck on the memories of the sweet moments and love filled nights. Reminiscing about all the dates he took you on while downing glass of whiskey after glass.

He still struggled with healing but once he started making a little progress, his friend took him out to a club to meet new people so he wouldn't be sulking at home all the time. And begrudgingly he agreed, dressing up in his best suit. But unlike his friend expected, he didn't talk much, staying in his seat and downing glasses of alcohol one after another. His eyes fixated on one person the whole time. And after a long while of silence, his friend finally spoke up. Curious what caught his attention.

    Liam: "Watcha looking at, man?"

He asked with a playful chuckle, taking a swing from his drink as he sat down on the stool beside Five. But he stayed quiet, letting the question hang open in the air as Liam rolled his eyes at his stubbornness. Following Five's gaze, his eyes landed on you, the famous ex-girlfriend that ruined him and left him broken.

Liam: "Come on Five, you gotta get over her some day! You can't be sucking over her for eternity, go out there! Get yourself a new girl! I'm sure there are like a gazillion girls that would love to be with you."

He encouraged, trying to get Five's mind off you. But it didn't help much as his eyes were stuck on your dancing form, your hands on another guy as you were laughing and smiling — having fun with someone else like you never had with him as the feeling of regret washed over him. His heart breaking more at the thought of what he had lost. What if he had paid more attention to you? What if he had taken more days off from work? What if he took you on nicer dates? All those questions flooded his mind, clouding his consciousness.

Five: "I don't need another girl when I can have her."

He replied coldly, his eyes pricking with tears as he quickly blinked them away. Not wanting anyone to see him week.

Five: "She shouldn't be dancing with him, she should be here with me. Not him."

He hisses, his voice dripping in jealousy as he pushed his half full glass of whiskey away. A plan clear in his mind.

Liam: "Woah, woah, woah, calm down Hargreeves! Sober up before you try to do something you might regret later!"

He warned, trying to stop Five from whatever he was planning on doing. But knowing his stubbornness, it was quite the impossible mission.

Five: "I don't want the children of another man, to have the eyes of the girl that I won't forget."

Five explained, desperation in his eyes as Liam finally let go of his wrist, letting Five walk over to you as he watched from afar how Five painfully grabbed the guy's wrist. Making Liam let out a chuckle at the sight.

Five: "First, that's no way to treat a lady, second, that's even less of a way to treat my lady. Now get lost."

Five hissed at the guy, having noticed his he was looking at your from miles away as you rolled your eyes while your date scurried away. Five turned back around, already sending your irritation. But that didn't stop him from taking your hand in his ass he pulled you closer by your waist, swinging to the tunes of the music playing.

{{user}}: "Can't you just find someone else to annoy?!"

You hissed irritated, clearly not happy to see him here again.

Five: "I don't wanna get undressed, for a new person all over again. I don't wanna kiss someone else's neck and have to pretend it's yours instead. And I don't wanna learn another scent when you're right here!"

Five replied, the desperation in his eyes and voice only heavier now as he tried his best to convince you, hoping for at least a glimmer of a sign that you would be willing to take him back.
