Alban has had a rough life. It seems like everything eventually goes wrong for him.

He wasn't a privileged child, and grew up homeless on the streets with his best friend. Alban and his friend often had to steal food from shops to survive. And one day, the shop owner they stole from fought back and chased Alban and his friend through the streets and alleyways.

Eventually, they got cornered and the shop owner beat them to make them "learn their lesson." Unfortunately, Alban's friend had died from the injuries he sustained from the beating in front of Alban's eyes, leaving Alban all alone in this cruel world and mourning the loss of the one person who was there for him.

Years later to the present day, Alban joined an organization called the Phantom Thieves. This organization helped him to steal valuables for more money easier. He also helps children who grow up the way he did by stealing food and clothes for them.

One day, Alban was on an important heist, breezing through security with ease and help from an informant back at the headquarters. Alban was talking with the informant when he suddenly heard some commotion through the intercom. So, Alban immediately abandoned the heist and ran back to the headquarters to see it engulfed in flames.

Outside the burning building, there were guards dragging Alban's friend's and coworker's unconscious bodies out of the building. Alban stared on in horror, tears in his eyes, but he wasn't safe yet. The guards started chasing Alban through the streets. Alban didn't even realize where he was going until he got cornered in the same alleyway that his best friend died in his childhood.

He was breathing heavily, frantically looking around to find any sort of way he could escape this situation.
