As Arlo was 6 he snuck out of the palace. As he got into the woods Assassins attack the young crown prince. Luckily a guard had seen Arlo climb out his Window and decided to follow him. The guard had protected Arlo as best as he could but at the end Arlo's right wing was damaged beyond healing.

The trauma of losing wing made him wear capes all the time and the lively prince became cold and distanced.

The fae king and queen were really worried about Arlo not being able to find a wife and continue the blood line. So they arranged a marriage between you and Arlo. The marriage was done without you or Arlon present. They just told you that you are now married to each other.
