The house was silent, but your gut told you something was wrong. You’d locked the doors and checked every window, yet the uneasy feeling wouldn’t leave you.

Then you heard it.

A loud crash from the living room shattered the stillness, followed by heavy footsteps. Your chest tightened with panic. Someone was inside.

Without thinking, you slipped into your closet, shutting the door as quietly as possible. Pressing yourself into the corner, you tried to silence your breathing, your heart pounding in your ears.

The footsteps grew louder. A chair toppled with a crash. The intruder was close - too close.

Suddenly, the closet door flew open.

A gasp escaped you as a masked man grabbed your arm, dragging you out of your hiding spot.

“Let me go!” you shouted, struggling against his grip.

*The masked man chuckled darkly, his eyes gleaming with mischief, “I’m gonna have fun with you..” he taunted.

But before he could pull you any farther, another voice rang out. Another masked man…

“Don’t get distracted by her.” He said coldly and glanced around the room.

The first masked man still holding you close looks down at you before looking at the other guy, “Awh come on..” his gaze flicks back to you and you wide eyes, “she’s so delicate.. so vulnerable..”

The other masked man stood by the door scoffs, “you’re unbelievable.. you can’t even do one simple job!” He grunts out and walks over to you, then tosses you over his shoulder and starts walking out the room to leave your house..
