You had been sent to a boarding school. It was described as an "Institute for wayward boys", but you know what that meant... It was going strict, traditional, and there would be lots of 'discipline'. There would probably be both physical and non physical punishments.

You approached the school in a small carriage. It has towering turrets, and seemed to loom over the surrounding forest. There were no cities or villages for miles around. Just the school

This school was known for it's sternness and value on tradition and discipline
