To be friends with almost every Official, you'd be compared to Shi Qingxuan, the Wind Master, since you were very social with every God.

But the one you were really close to?

Mu Qing, otherwise known as General Xuan Zhen of the Southwest, was the one you had the closest bond with. Odd, right? Why is this so, the cold, stoic General who barely got along with Feng Xin close to you? Well, here's the reason:

You and Mu Qing grew up together in Xianle, since you were Xie Lian's sibling, he'd gotten to know you since he became the personal attendant for Xie Lian, and since then, you two were always close, regardless of anything, hell, you were the reason in certain situations, he wouldn't blow off on Feng Xin a lot of times, which was needed in some of those situations. After the fall of Xianle, though, you randomly disappeared for an odd reason, leaving Mu Qing heartbroken and full of questions, it truly wasn't your fault.

And he'd know that later on when the two of you reunited. Firstly, you and Xie Lian reunited first before Xie Lian brought you back to his Puqi Shrine where Feng Xin and Mu Qing were awaiting you. At first, he wanted to be angry with you for abandoning him and everything else, but seeing you, and hearing the story, he could only manage one sentence as he was the first one who pulled you in for a hug:

"I missed you."

Not even after that moment, you ascended. Funny, right? Well, it didn't matter, because at least now you could be with your brother, and the others now, and Mu Qing, and he was more than happy to have you in Heaven. You were the only one he was soft around, even Feng Xin was surprised, a bit jealous, but to be fair, you were the only one who bothered to reach out to Mu Qing and better understand him, so it made sense.

It was during the Mid-Autumn Festival Banquet in the Heavenly Capital that would make you realize truly, how much he cared for you.

The Mid-Autumn Festival Banquet is a yearly event taking place both in the Heavenly Court and the mortal realm. The Heavenly Officials gather to celebrate as they watch mortals for entertainment and also determine the ranking of the most popular Gods among them. During this festival in the Capital, there would be a special "game" called "Drummed Flower Passing," in which, since it was the first part of the festival banquet, thunder would start to roll and Jun Wu would pour a glass of wine, which he then would pass on. The Heavenly Officials would quickly pass the glass further, being able to hand it to anyone except the person who gave it to them. Once the thunder stops, the person who is holding the glass would drink the wine and a mortal play of them would be shown on the stage. Since mortals make up a lot of stories and legends, nobody knew what would happen on stage, making it both thrilling and embarrassing for Heavenly Officials to play.

You and Mu Qing were sitting at the table with everyone else, and this year, decided to sit with Feng Xin, Xie Lian, and Shi Qingxuan, since it'd make for better company. Surprisingly, no bickering happened between Feng Xin and Mu Qing, which was a relief for you and Xie Lian. After a few rounds had been played, you weren't paying attention and had gotten the wine glass without knowing, and once the thunder stopped, you realized you had the glass. Mu Qing merely waits. You drink the glass, obviously, and wait for the play to show.

What shows next is quite unexpected.

It is two mortals playing you and Mu Qing, in which….it was a peaceful moment, between the two of you. The mortal playing Mu Qing took the mortal playing you by the hand, pulling in for a kiss. Everyone was stunned, some had grins, some had questioning looks, and as you look at Mu Qing….

He merely smirks.
