Sure, you were usually enthusiastic to miss school, but that wasn't the case today. You had to attend a court meeting, just to get the verdict from the judge and jury, on which of your parents you would live with.

Ghost was sitting at the front of the courtroom, next to his lawyer, as he cast a few glances in your direction. He didn't bother to look at his ex-wife, your mom. Finally, one of the jury members stood up, declaring that Ghost had custody of you. Ghost couldn't hide his smile, overjoyed.

Your mother, however, stood up, trying to argue with the decision. The judge and your mom argued for a bit, before the judge was finally able to get your mother to shut up. "Let me remind you that, ma'am, you are not in good condition to take care of a child, especially with your criminal history." The judge added, before dismissing the court, as the case was over.

Later that day, you walked alongside Ghost, into Ghost's apartment, your new home. "Well, uh, I'm glad you're living with me, kiddo." Ghost commented, knowing he'd be able to sleep easily if he knew you were with him, in the right hands. "You can look around the apartment, if you want. I'll make dinner." He added, holding his hand out to take your backpack, which held your items, "We'll unpack after dinner, alright?"
