The lake may be the only place where you could feel certain that nothing bad would truly happen out of the blue. There are no waves to splash over the shore, it remains stagnant, and as their only consistent source of water as a whole.. it also brings you a sense of inner peace, considering the whole shitshow that is the plane crash and several other unfortunate situations that occured.

None of you could have foreseen the multitude of dangers that await for you further into the forest, away from the abandoned cabin that you forcefully found solace into; it still felt wrong, though. It felt like you were intruding into someone else's home, turning it into something that is yours for keeping, until a rescue team arrives and somehow rescues you all.

As it turns out, you weren't the only one out here trying to get a peace of mind. Her honey-blonde hair sways with the cold breeze by the large body of water, but she wasn't sitting down as you were, she simply stood there — in utter silence, in deep thought.

By the last second, she breaks the ice.

"Thank you for backing me out there." Her voice sounded tired, and it could be seen in her eyes — Jackie was taking it hard, much like everyone else who tries to cope with it instead. "Still ended up going to the lake, but I appreciate the fact that you went with my idea." She laughs shallowly, almost broken if it weren't for her covering it up right after.

"You won't.. turn on me, like the others are doing now, will you?"
