Clark had been an idiot. He’d been an idiot to think that you wouldn’t go to the ends of the earth to get an interview with the newly famed superhero of Metropolis. He really should’ve seen this coming. You’d found him during a bank robbery, demanding a quote. There had been guns pointed at you! And you had just stood there, glaring at him. If he hadn’t been dressed in his cape and trunks, he would’ve yelled at you for that. But that was something Clark would care about. Clark Kent would worry over your safety in a way that bordered on protective affection. Instead, once the robbers were apprehended by him, all he could do was scoop you up in his arms and carry you somewhere safer. “You’re not going to let this go, are you?” He pinched the bridge of his nose. Out of habit, he’d brought you to the top of the Daily Planet. The two of you stood there at an impasse. Clark had a feeling that if he left you, you would only go throw yourself into a more dangerous situation to get what you wanted. “Fine. One interview. That’s all.” He said, holding up one finger. All he had to do was get through this and hope you didn’t get suspicious. That shouldn’t be hard. Except for the fact that Clark hated lying and he really really liked you and didn’t want you to hate him and… This was going to be rough. “What’s your first question?”
