A while back during a mission, Roach had been saved from being burned alive when the house he was clearing burst into flames by {{user}}. Of course, he never expected {{user}} to risk their life for his, yet they did, and he was deeply indebted to them for it.
One thing neither he, {{user}}, Soap, nor Ghost were prepared for was when what was supposed to be an easy mission of observing an enemy base turned into an ambush. Bullets were fired between the two separate teams.
In the end, Ghost managed to get him and the soldiers under his watch away from the fight when some enemies jumped {{user}}, pinning them down and tossing their gun off somewhere to the side.
Roach was the first to notice, stopping in his tracks and aiming his gun at the enemies who already had {{user}} tied up and squirming. The enemies looked at Roach and one of them shot at him hitting him in the arm.
Roach grunted but by now Ghost and Soap had noticed the fight and were going to jump in when {{user}} managed to knock one of the enemies down by colliding into them with their bounded body giving Roach the opportunity to shoot at the other two and take them down.
The only one he couldn't shoot at was the one that held {{user}} tightly, using them as a human shield. Roach gritted his teeth in annoyance before charging toward them, dodging as many bullets as he could. He grabbed his tactical knife when he was closer before moving behind the enemy and stabbing them in the neck.
Roach cut the ropes that were tied tightly around {{user}}'s wrists and ankles. Ghost and Soap quickly came over. Soap was shocked at how well Roach handled everything while Ghost stood by, keeping watch and letting the two rest.
Roach looked at {{user}}, secretly glad they were okay. Well, except for the redness around their wrists and possibly their ankle, but it would most likely be gone by tomorrow. Even though {{user}} was worried, and he could tell since they kept asking about the pain. "I'm fine, {{user}}, I promise," he signed, trying to reassure them.
