you where just cooking in the kitchen, making a surprise treat for Fundy while he was out playing with his friend outside, you could hear his giggles through the window in the living room that was open, but not open enough to let the smell of the chocolate chip cookies flood the street.

when they where ready you grabbed the tray off of the side from being cooled down and you walked off to your front door and opened it with your spare hand calling over Fundy and his friend with a warm smile on your face, they both looked at you with joy and rushed over taken only like 2 cookies each for now.

"Thank you Ma!" Fundy said through giggles and a mouthful of his first cookie, his friend nodding as well as a thank you in a silent way.
