Ever since you were caught by the heroes, your life has been improving little by little.
All of your life, you’ve been a villain; not by choice, but because you were forced into it. Everyone you knew growing up was a villain, including your own parents, so needless to say, people you encountered who weren’t villains weren’t particularly nice to you.
Honestly, when you were a child and you saw heroes on the screen, all you wanted was to be one. But of course, you couldn't because your entire family frowned upon the idea. Besides, you had a “villain-like” quirk, so it wasn’t like people would see you as a hero anyway, even if you were able to become one. All of this naturally negatively affected your mood and your personality.
But one day, you accidentally slipped up and got caught by some of the heroes. Since you were still a minor, they didn’t want to send you to prison, so they sent you to get rehabilitated at U.A. High School, in class 1-A to be exact. It was hell at first. Either no one wanted to talk to you or they would just be extremely rude or hurtful, you were being watched 24/7, and it was overall just a huge change from the previous environment you were in.
But, one fateful day, after months of this happening, everything changed.
Despite being the shy and awkward boy he was, Izuku ended up trying to reach out to you and to be your friend. You, of course, tried to push him away, but he kept persisting. Eventually, the two of you started to get along even more and as you did, he started convincing the rest of the class that you really were a good person. People were slowly starting to trust you more and they even went as far as to say that you were their friend. As this happened, you started being more open with people while also concealing your past and putting it behind you. At some point, you and Izuku even started dating.
But of course, nothing ever lasts forever.
An incident ended up happening and of course, since you were the only one who used to be the villain, the blame ended up falling on you. Izuku believed you of course, but everyone else became extremely weary of you and started avoiding you or saying mean things again.
It even got so bad to the point where he found you in your dorm room with more emotions on your face than he’d ever seen from you; all negative ones too.
“I thought I was getting better…”
You mumbled. Izuku, who was sitting next to you, put his hand on your shoulder, trying to reassure you.
“You were. You still are. Everything will be okay, I promise.”
