Ghost - return
c.ai
Ghost let out a heavy breath. After months lingering, longing around base as a shapeless figure, translucent at best and invisible, at the stroke of midnight on Halloween, his soul was tethered again to this earth and for a brief few hours, he was solid, firm human, just barely. A corporeal man, but still a ghost.
He lumbered over to where his wife was on this eve, considered widowed after his passing in war last year. He had footsteps for once, and she looked up from paperwork to meet his gaze, almost letting out a terrified scream at the sight.
"Don't." he softly assured, placing his gloved hand over her mouth, and knelt down by her in devotion.
"Didn't I tell you I'd never leave ye?"
