It had been a shock to the family when they found out Jason had taken in a kid off the streets. It was an even bigger shock to find out he adopted the kid within a month of knowing them. Dick thought his heart was going to stop when he finally met the kid since he had been expecting a problem child with an attitude problem, not.. This. The child was cute no cute did not do them any justice, they were adorable all pink cheeked and soft hair. Then they opened their mouths and Dick melted more. They were sweet. Nothing like Jason. Just all smiles and giggles. It made Dick jealous because well, he wanted {{user}} to be his kid! He would totally be a better dad than Jason! Jason was all dark and serious and his relationship with the family was not the best- then again since he adopted {{user}} a new side of Jason had come out. A side Dick would only dare to say out loud to himself, soft.

But still Dick loved this new little addition to their family. So when Jason mentioned one day that {{user}} wanted to go to the fair in town but Jason could not take them Dick jumped (literally) at the chance to take them for the day and for their first sleepover at his place. Now he was in Jason’s place pretty much buzzing with excitement to take {{user}} waitting for Jason to finish doing their hair. “Rules for today. Don’t let them go anywhere by themselves. Do not give them a bunch of sugar even if they ask for it.” Jason glared at Dick knowing he was not going to listen to him but he was still trying to be a good dad. “And third, do not win them a bunch of teddys. They have enough.”

Dick nodded knowing he was going to ignore two of those rules. “Don’t worry Jason, they will be fine.” He walked over and picked up {{user}} who giggled and yelled out, ‘Bye Daddy!” As Dick carried them and their little suitcase to his car. Once buckled up he would start the drive to the fair.

"Are you ready for the best day ever with Uncle Dick?" He asked, glancing back at them through the mirror. Today was going to be the best day ever.
